5. Mosaic art + Egyptian culture
Anukama2k17 Niift's final collection is a non-wearable art tribute to the Egyptian culture. It showcases handcrafted mosaics that depict elements such as the lotus, evil eye, and rulers of Egypt. The collection is perfect for adding elegance and sophistication to any room, and the lotus, a symbol of rebirth and enlightenment, is a recurring theme, while the evil eye represents protection against negativity.
MOOD BOARD
The process of creating Egyptian mosaic art with sequins is time-consuming and requires patience and dedication. The artist worked alone on every step of the process to create the portraits and motifs. First, the artist sketches out the design on a piece of paper, carefully planning out where each sequin will go. Then, they transfer the design onto a white silk fabric and cover it with a thin layer of glue. Next, the artist meticulously places each sequin onto the fabric, following the design they created. The sequins are often small and delicate, requiring a steady hand and attention to detail.

As the artist works, the mosaic begins to take shape, and the vibrant colors of the sequins create a stunning effect. The process can take weeks or even months to complete, depending on the size and complexity of the piece. Despite the time and effort required, the end result is a beautiful and unique work of art that captures the beauty and intricacy of Egyptian culture.
